A wonderful day SUPing at Paradise.
I am hoping to kick off Sup'n Girls Maine as a forum for people who love SUP to connect and share knowldge and events in the Southern Maine area. Check out the original Sup'n Girls website at www.supngirls.com for great info on what the group is all about. Please "like" our facebook page: Sup'n Girls Maine, and post any SUP worthy news and activities. Check it out often as I hope to be able to post events as well.
Hello Rafael, I would like to make a few comments regarding your SUP run from Two Lights to Ft. Williams yesterday morning. The two Coast Guard boats did not just 'check you out', they came in search of you. I rang 911 from my home when I saw the two Coast Guard boats off shore, going in circles as if searching, and then saw you and your friends obviously struggling on your paddle boards in very extreme wind and wave conditions.
Had a great couple of weeks in Eleuthera, Bahamas. I brought 3 inflatable SUPs down and we used them every day.
Two awesome Kaholo 12' 6" touring SUPs that we recently built from kits from Chesapeake Light Craft. We just finished them a couple of weeks ago and have had a great time with them. It was my introduction to SUPing and I'm hooked; I highly recommend the sport to anybody who is looking to experience time on the water in a unique way.
I snuck away from the shop for 3 days and joined my family for some fun at Good Harbor Beach in Mass. Dylan has become a much better swimmer, and we caught some fun little peelers one afternoon. I'll have to get him his own board this winter.
I tried stand up paddle boarding for the first time ever this weekend and fell in love immediately! My dog also fell in love with it, jumped right up, and we spent most of the weekend traveling around Green Lake enjoying the beautiful weather. Plans to buy my own board are definitely in the works.
