It was all the rage in Brunswick over Memorial Day weekend. All being novice SUPsters didn't matter. Boards are stable for one or two adults, or two adults with a couple little one's on the bow.
THANKS SOPOSUP for a really fun weekend on the water!!!
Kate, Gloria and Jamie just dropped off their rental boards after spending a couple days vacation near Brunswick. Kate got her mom Margaret, 80, out on the water. Great pic. Hopefully they will post some more.
Soposup is teaming up with the Surfrider Foundation to clean up Kettle Cove on Saturday, May 21st. I'll be bringing some great beginner SUPs down, as well as a ULI inflatable and Shawn is going to bring his quiver of Corebans for anyone to demo. Coreban SUPs are one of the premier Sup brands out there, and this will be a unique opportunity to see and paddle their entire line. Surfrider members who attend will receive 5% off any Coreban Sup they purchase. Scratch is bringing coffee and treats! Cleanup starts at 10AM.
Hey Raf, Theo and I went for a paddle around Stage this morning. Awesome day! Looking ahead to some more of this. I was on the Hoviesup, Theo was on the Laird. We switched on the way home. The smaller Hovie was more of a challenge, but thats how I like it. Later
Wendy got Ed what he wanted for his birthday (and decided to take one for herself too!) Two more boards leaving the shop. Have fun guys, and hope your local lake thaws early this year.
It was too cold to make out to Ram Island (in the background) without some decent gloves, but I did take it out into the channel and was amazed by how stable the board was. It plowed through the windchop effortlessly. Can't wait for warmer weather and taking this beauty for a proper distance trial. This board is available for demo, so give me a call and we will get you out on the fastest, sleekest SUP in Maine.
Scott Akerman and his daughter, absolutely killing it at Ferry Beach last spring!
Get yourself a Santa suit and join us on a Portland harbor cruise to spread the holiday cheer. We will meet at Bug Light boat launch in S. Portland, December 18th at 10:30 am. The tide will be running out, so we will have a nice little workout paddling up to and under the Casco Bay Bridge, then a relaxing drift back to Bug Light. You will need a good winter surf suit, a PFD and your own board and paddle...and of course, a Santa outfit.
