2015 Casco Bay Race Series

One month to go until the start of the 2015 race season! So psyched! There's still a lot to get done at the shop, and I bet most racers haven't even gotten their boards wet yet this year. But the sun is shining right now, and I keep glancing at my trunks folded over in the corner thinking I should get out there before…

Find a Paddle Buddy

We often get people asking about how to find someone else to go paddling with. Probably the best way is to go to as many local paddling events as you can, such as our biweekly clinics or our Saturday afternoon race. But sometimes schedules are tight or inflexible, and there's just no way to make those commitments. Building a paddling community is one of our primary goals here at Soposup. We want to help folks connect with one another and progress their skills on the water together in a safe, responsible manner.

Fall in Maine

We had a decent stretch of surf last couple of weeks finally. Here's a set wave from what turned into a 7 hour session at Higgins. photo props to Dustin Turin

A Happy Customer

I was really blown away to get this e-mail the other day. Its a great feeling to know that there are people out there who's visit to the shop is just the beginning of a life long adventure!

Bahamas Trip

Had a great couple of weeks in Eleuthera, Bahamas. I brought 3 inflatable SUPs down and we used them every day.

The Caribbean side of the island is perfect for beginners.

End of Summer

I snuck away from the shop for 3 days and joined my family for some fun at Good Harbor Beach in Mass. Dylan has become a much better swimmer, and we caught some fun little peelers one afternoon. I'll have to get him his own board this winter.

Too cool for words...

Kate, Gloria and Jamie just dropped off their rental boards after spending a couple days vacation near Brunswick. Kate got her mom Margaret, 80, out on the water. Great pic. Hopefully they will post some more.

Surfrider beach cleanup @ Kettle Cove, May 21st

Soposup is teaming up with the Surfrider Foundation to clean up Kettle Cove on Saturday, May 21st. I'll be bringing some great beginner SUPs down, as well as a ULI inflatable and Shawn is going to bring his quiver of Corebans for anyone to demo. Coreban SUPs are one of the premier Sup brands out there, and this will be a unique opportunity to see and paddle their entire line. Surfrider members who attend will receive 5% off any Coreban Sup they purchase. Scratch is bringing coffee and treats! Cleanup starts at 10AM.

Stage Harbor

Hey Raf, Theo and I went for a paddle around Stage this morning. Awesome day! Looking ahead to some more of this. I was on the Hoviesup, Theo was on the Laird. We switched on the way home. The smaller Hovie was more of a challenge, but thats how I like it. Later
