April 6th Sunova Standup Demo and Shop Anniversary

The Sunova team is ending their east coast tour in Maine on Wednesday, April 6th. Tino and Rick will have almost the entire Sunova line with them for anyone to try, free. The weather is looking a little cold, so we will have wetsuits on hand for people to use if they don't have their own. Before you know it, warm weather will be here to stay, and there is no better way to celebrate that in Maine than grabbing your paddle and exploring the bays, beaches, rivers and lakes that make this such an awesome place to live. (read more below)

Our plan is to bring the fleet to Higgins Beach in the morning and stay there until about lunch time. Waves are forecast to be very small, so perfect for beginners or folks who don't relish a dunking in cold water. Then we will relocate to Willard Beach in the afternoon, where the water should be perfectly flat and calm. There is no need to reserve a spot or make an appointment. Please do call the shop or check facebook for the exact schedule the day before as weather may force us to change to plan. It doesn't hurt to let us know you are coming either. (read more below)

After the boards are packed away, retire to the shop for some refreshments and a chance to see the 2016 inventory in a cozy atmosphere.

We are celebrating our 5th year anniversary, and would love to see you there. Its been a great ride so far. I am very grateful to all the people who have helped make the store a success. I am often told by customers that in the end, "buying local" was the deciding factor in purchasing a board from us rather than an online retailer. Buying local isn't a sentimental act. When you buy a board from Soposup you are buying expert knowledge and advice, plus a thriving race series, free demos, shop parties, rental services, paddling events, and random acts of kindness (see the 2015 Free board give-away recipients story below this one). Basically, you are buying into a community of paddlers.

Enough talk. Come hang out with us on Wednesday, April 6th and lets get this season kicked off right!
